Focus' founder & resident DJ Josh Billings has gained some notoriety lately with the success of his club. The sound he is most known for is a Big Room / Electro Inspired / Funky / Deep-Techy / Big Room Sound...if that makes any sense. Josh Billings has a fairly unique sound that you don't hear every day but it has become something people look forward to hearing.

     When focus first started there was always a need for somebody to open up the night and this is where Josh Billings got used to playing on a big sound system and in front of big crowds. Moving from the bedroom to the Night Club is a big transition and there are a lot of factors to worry about. Playing those opening spots week after week helped Josh Billings get a feel for things and eventually got him bigger and bigger gigs at places other than focus. He started to do a few Mix CDs for free and offering them at the door of focus and the popularity was massive. Going from burning a few hundred at a time to making thousands at a time, doing it all for free.

     Josh Billings has shared the stage with the best in the business like: Kaskade, Fedde Le Grand, Mark Farina, Nicky Romero, Green Velvet, Gregor Salto, Miguel Migs and the list goes on. He plays on a world class sound system every Tuesday at Focus along with touring other clubs. Most recently Josh has been focusing on his production more and more getting support from some major artists as well.

     Being Drug and Alcohol free all his life Josh Billings is a rare breed. When he says "It's all about the music" it really is. Josh says "It's all about having a good time. The feeling of a dance floor just feeding off you and you feeding off their energy is as close to being on drugs as I'll ever get"
